Street Photography

Okay, so I’m working on a new thing … for me anyway. I’ve been interested in ‘Street Photography for some time now and haven’t gotten up the courage to actually ask a stranger if I could take their photo … until today that is. This was my first one …  and hopefully the beginning of many more!

So, this is how it went … For the past several weeks I’ve been seeing this man walking around the streets of Paso Robles.  As soon as I saw him I knew I wanted to take his picture. It’s taken me quite a while to finally ask him if I could take his picture.  I actually took some pictures of him yesterday but from a distance. They were too far away and nothing special. Today though I decided that I would just ask. So, I just said “Can I take your picture?’ He didn’t answer, but raised his hand in a motion that made me think he was saying yes. He didn’t chase me down or yell at me or anything, so I guess it meant yes. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be! I think I can do it again!
